Weather and Climate

The Western Cape, for the most part, enjoys a Mediterranean Climate, which essentially means a hot dry summer, and wet cold winter.
Paternoster normally receives about 203mm of rain per year. Average rainfall for Paternoster is lowest in February, about 1mm, towards the end of summer, and highest in June, around 39mm, which is midwinter.
The average daily maximum temperatures in Summer are around 26° C although that can change on a daily basis with the vagaries of the weather. In Winter, daily averages are around 17° C. Fog is not unusual in winter because of it's coastal location.
Saldanha is the largest weather station close by, and the current weather for that is given below.
